Bitter Sweet....

WHAT A JOURNEY SO FAR!  We are so amazed at all that God is pulling together to make this happen.  We are not special, we are not perfect, we are not more loved by God, it's not like we never sin....I am not sure why God choose to work this way in our lives but what I can tell you is its becuase of who HE is and NOT who I AM! 

Last Saturday night we had a couple come check out our life group for the first time.  Although Pat and I at some point this last year have taught their daughter and recognize them, we don't really know them.  At the end of class we were taking prayer requests and giving praises.  Of course we shared our praise report on how $500 showed up on our porch and how amazed we are!  Then the wife spoke up and asked if her husband if she could share something with us.  She started to share with us with so much excitement and enthusiasm, that during their prayer time this last week, they had been praying who they could bless with some of the money they got back from their taxes.  They said that Pat had come strongly to their minds and honestly they wanted to give him a gift but didn't know how.  They were worried that Pat would be offended by cash or a check and what that meant.  When they heard our story and the need they knew it was the Lords will and didn't have to wonder how that would look anymore. 

This Wednesday was very bitter sweet for Pat.  It was his last night teaching rainbows.  With his new teaching job and just the direction were headed he felt the need to step out.  It was hard for both of us, we LOVE each and everyone of those kids and though for this season we are out we HOPE to be coming back soon.  Well just so happens on Wednesday the husband, from life group, came to the Rainbows class and handed Pat an envelope over the turtle room door.  He told Pat how much he appreciated him teaching his daughter and working so hard.  In the envelope was a letter with $200 CASH!  Again, confirmation we are walking the path we need to be.  We, again, are humbled beyond belief.  That 2 families now, have been obedient enough to follow God's leading, and now to us, we are the ones on the end of that, and how blessed are we.  We do feel blessed.  We are praying strongly that God would bless these 2 families 100x's what they have sowed!!! With every day that goes by more anticpation grows with what our family will look like.  Who will this new person be...there is no doubt anymore. 

To me its looks like the back of a needlepoint work.  I can see all the threads crossing and coming together, however I do not see the big picture and honestly at this point I DON'T NEED TO!  I am ok with just seeing the threads that are crossing and to me, that is beautiful enough.

We have paid our $500 deposit to Dr. Wilson, we are now waiting on a surgery date.  We should have that in the next week.  We are praying about this and ask that you would pray with us.  I am not patient, and in this I am learning patience.  There are 1 or 2 guys in front of Pat, so as soon as they have dates we get the next free one.  He only schedules 3 months out and believe it or not, he's packed solid.  So we are waiting for June dates to open up.  Until then we keep walking this out.
